An Younggil’s Pro Go Videos: Xinsational – Xin + 3 stones vs Younggil

Younggil is going play a game with Lei Xin 5d, who is one of the strong and nice members of the Sydney Go Club.

Younggil will share his ideas and plans with you while playing. However Xin will be playing on the other side of the room so he can’t hear Younggil’s plans.

Let’s see if it’s fun and nice to learn something different from this format.

  1. Guillermo Molano says:

Truly Xinsational. Xin played really well. It was very helpful to hear the reason behind the moves, specially the whole board plans that Mr. Younggil had when attacking. That whole board thinking in a high level game is really hard to understand and this made it really clear.
    Thanks for posting.

    • Younggil An says:

Thanks Guillermo for your opinion, and yes, Xin played so well.

I also thought this commentary would be easier to follow compared to other commentaries because it’s simpler, and you can see the track of each move. 🙂

  2. Great format, very instructive ! Thanks a lot !

  3. David Holland says:

Thanks for the video. Not just for the high quality of the commentary, but also for showing the strategies of both players. It is interesting that black played well but still lost.

    • Younggil An says:

      Thanks David.

Yes, Xin played quite well, but he made the game complicated in the center area. That’s partly because of shortage of time.

  4. Really a great idea ! Being into M. Younggil’s mind during a game, what an amazing format for a nice lesson !

I wish i would be M. Lei Xin : seeing this video after my game is an unique way to know what my opponent was thinking while i was playing 🙂

    • Younggil An says:

Thanks Songe for your encouraging comment.

Yes, that’d be good if you can see your game from different point of view.

If you try to guess your opponent’s plan or thinking during the game, you’ll be able to play better and have more fun too. 🙂
