Buy a Go board for just $5 (plus, new Go game sets now available)

Since we announced our new Go equipment last month, we’ve received a lot of requests to sell the Go boards in the Featherweight Go Set individually, without the stones.

We thought that was a pretty good idea, so today we’re pleased to announce the Featherweight Go Board – a lightweight, portable Go board which you can buy for just $5, including free worldwide shipping.

Plus, if you buy in bulk, we can reduce the price to as little as $2 per board for you!

The Featherweight Go Board

The Featherweight Go Board comes in four different colors.

These crease resistant Go boards are made from a strong woven plastic material, similar to that used in some reusable shopping bags, and they can easily be folded or rolled.

The boards come in four different colors, so you can choose between red, yellow, green, blue and ‘assorted’ (if you’re ordering multiple boards).

More complete Go game sets

We also receive a lot of questions from people looking for recommendations about which stones go with which board, how to put together a complete Go set, and so forth.

We’re always happy to give you advice about Go equipment, or anything else Go related, but we thought it would make things easier for people if we put together some example Go sets.

So we’ve updated our Go Game Set page with 12 recommended Go sets tailored for different purposes and budgets.

‘The Professional Go Set’ – which includes the same Go equipment used in professional Go tournaments – is just one of several new recommended Go sets.

Dirt Cheap Go Set will be back soon

The third thing people have been asking about is the Dirt Cheap Go Set – our $10 Go set which is currently out of stock worldwide.

We expect to have more stock in January 2014, so don’t worry if you missed out. It takes time to ship these sets to our warehouses by sea (which is essential for keeping the price down), but we’ll be sure to keep them well stocked from January onwards.

If you want to be notified when the Dirt Cheap Go Set is available again, you can request that we send you an email as soon as it’s back in stock by clicking ‘Sign up to get notified when this product is back in stock’, just under the heading text on the Dirt Cheap Go Set page.

The same thing goes for our Dirt Cheap Go Board, which will also be restocked in January. However, if you’re looking for a really cheap Go board, you now have an alternative.
